I was on jury duty once - made it all the way to jury selection. I was asked a question "Would you believe something more if a police officer said it?". My response was "No, quite the opposite." I was not selected for the jury.

And numerous Veterans since then have retired at a lower rank than they should have which affects their and their families' retirement benefits.
