Appeals court hands win to Republican state Supreme Court candidate The 2-1 decision from a panel on the Court of Appeals determined that tens of thousands of NC ballots were improperly counted.

Those most harmed by the ruling will surprise no one. Griffin disproportionately challenged young and Black voters. Military ballots targeted are from only FOUR* blue counties.

To attack military votes, the GOP's judges reprimanded the NC Elections Board for allowing “individuals living in foreign countries, who vote in [NC] elections, to be exempt from our State’s voter ID laws"— omitting that ALL STATES exempt these voters from ID laws, per the Board's lawyers #ncpol

This "ruling" — 5 months after the 2024 election — would require 60,000+ NC voters who cast a ballot legally to somehow "cure" those ballots with ~2 weeks notice. It also tosses other eligible ballots completely.

Should it stand, it would be the end of free and fair elections as we know them.

Seven polling sites in Milwaukee ran out of ballots due to "historic turnout" according to city election director. More ballots are being printed and on way. Very important to remind voters that if they're in line when polls close at 8 CT they get to vote. Do not leave. Please spread the word
