34 years ago today, my family and I arrived in America with $100 and hope—fleeing Vietnam for freedom and the American Dream. That dream shaped how I was raised and why I serve: to fight for an America of opportunity, safety, and dignity for all families.

Heartbroken by today’s attack in Grand Blanc Township. No one should fear for their lives at home, at school, at work, or in their communities.

Gun violence is a crisis. Stronger background checks, limits on assault weapons, and red flag laws can save lives. We must act now.

Under the Ch. 90 funding formula, 18th Essex towns will get the following approximate amounts to improve local roads and bridges (based on FY25):

Andover: $1,362,138.84
Boxford: $410,396.67
North Andover: $809,565.02
Tewksbury: $914,126.60

Glad to join my colleagues in passing legislation that delivers critical Ch. 90 funding to help cities and towns repair infrastructure and address climate impacts on transportation. This investment supports resilient, community-focused planning.

The bill now goes to the Governor for her signature.

Congressional Republicans just passed the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” — but there’s nothing beautiful about slashing Medicaid, Medicare, clean energy jobs, and public education.

This bill is reckless, harmful, and prioritizes the wealthy over working families.

We deserve better.

I’m especially thankful for my father—your strength, resilience, and steady presence have shaped who I am.

There is no place for political violence in a just and democratic society. We resolve our differences through dialogue—not brutality. We must stand united against hate and violence in all its forms.

I’m heartbroken and horrified by the targeted killing of Minnesota Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark, and the shooting of Senator John Hoffman and his wife Yvette. I’m praying for their full recovery.
