Yesterday, I joined Chairwoman Kate Lipper-Garabedian and Representative Chris Worrell to host an informational briefing on cryptocurrency and digital assets at the State House.
We heard from experts on the current state of crypto and blockchain policy in Massachusetts.

It was a pleasure to host students from Andover High School and Phillips Academy who are part of the Massachusetts Youth Climate Coalition for a conversation about environmental action and climate solutions.

Congrats to Haverhill for being awarded funding through the Shannon Community Safety Initiative to support evidence-based efforts that prevent and reduce youth and gang violence in communities across Massachusetts.

Pt.2

Massachusetts is leading by example by adopting evidence-based practices that were successful in other states.

This bill strengthens Massachusetts’ position as a national leader in education by ensuring that our teachers and students have the tools they need to excel.

Today, state senate colleagues and I unanimously voted on the Right to Read Act. This bill provides funding for educators to use evidence-based early literacy curricula while providing schools the option to choose a curriculum that is best for their students and teachers.

Huge thank you to all of our DPW crews who spent the overnight hours out in the cold keeping our roads safe and our communities moving❄️

40 years ago today, we lost the heroic crew of the Challenger in a catastrophic event.

Honored to speak at the 19th Annual MLK Jr. Day Celebration of Unity in Andover alongside Dr. Patrick Tutwiler, Ralph Bledsoe, Rep. Nguyen, and so many community leaders honoring Dr. King’s legacy.

Yesterday, I spoke on the Senate Floor about an important issue. Of the 26 states that allow citizen-led ballot initiatives, nearly half already have laws comparable to this amendment. This non-partisan common-sense measure will help prevent voters from being misled and ensure greater transparency.

Rest in peace, Officer Stephen LaPorta. Your dedication and service to the Uxbridge Police Department and community will never be forgotten.
