For what it’s worth, even with meagre sunlight this week, I’ve been able to run the car for free. Mostly just shops & crèche runs. But that’s a big deal for most households. There’s a perception that they only work at peak summer in Ireland.

Lack of traffic means the bus has to sit idle at stops for a few mins. Which again, introduces my timely reminder that school time needs to be addressed for traffic. Get school buses operational and make walking/cycling viable.

Public libraries are amazing!
Did you know you can borrow a book from any library in the country and return it to any other library?
Did you know they have subscriptions to huge amounts of national and international media that you can access?

Spent all day cleaning cars, cleaning the house and cooking things to use up the stuff in the fridge before it goes off. Wrecked but that was a very productive day!

Work has basically stopped for two weeks, which is typically a great thing. But I'm really itching to be productive. I'm doing fairly random things to fill the gap. Which is both good & bad. I'm so accustomed to be intensely busy that this is driving me mad. I'll never be able to properly retire.

Bin night. But it’s the wrong bin. I need the green bin collected, not the black one. The green is heaving!
