Ink and watercolor. We put some time in to get the best angle from a bright lamp on a table to the right. I always like these poses front and back because the pelvis and shoulder are pushed up and the waist drops so you get that great shape.

If you are level with the head the legs will be foreshortened. Just try both and you will see :-)
Being about level with the navel will give a balanced perspective, assuming that you have some distance.

Most important tip: improvise on location and make it a real co-production with your models. Share ideas. Experiment. Look what works and what doesn't. Have creative fun together. Ask your model for ideas and feedback.

Next tips:
- Make sure the lightest parts of the body still have some tone and texture using a sufficiently short shutter time & small diaphragm. Avoid white spots due to bright sunlight on the skin.
- Don't put the model against the wall. Distance between model and background is ok.

I'm just an amateur too but I have some tips:
- Take a distance from your model and zoom in. In that way you get good proportions in the face and body.
- kneel or squat when photographing a standing model and you want a head to toe image. You should be level with the middle of the figure.
