I think one of my biggest wishcasts is that like, despite the fact that politics do tend to have a pendulum effect (look how low we had to get after the new deal to get to something like this), I hope the country/world doesn't have to crash this low to accelerate back to this like, sense of unity and progressive fervor again like. everything that's happened since reagan up until now, I really hope people don't lose sight of how bad it got if we bounce back from all this shit. maybe I won't live to see it get this bad again but I would also just like it to never get this bad again.
