I happened to use it on a terrible laptop and it worked. Disabling everything, of course. Animations, effects and removing anything that wasn't navigation (no FF snap, only from ppa).

It worked!

Which, by the way, was also the reason why I started putting up my Omakub respins to minimize garbage.

So the problem is the minimum requirements because of Gnome?

I tried the recent 24.04 on a PC like that (4gb & i3 4 gen) and it worked.

The world, if WP had opted for Vue:

Fedora is the alternative I've been considering for a long time! 🤔

But I haven't found a real reason to switch yet.
I'm too used to LTS updates to have them that often.

But I haven't had these laggy experiences. I mean, yes... when I start working heavily between VMs and Docker, but I think it's just fine.

The only thing I can accept is the useless presence of snap.

I'm very proud of the work done with Omarell!

I'm now using this Ubuntu configuration on almost all my PCs and it takes me very little time to install it.

The next step is to prepare it for Ubuntu Server too. 🫡

But I don't think that can happen, especially considering that RedHat and SUSE exist. Ubuntu has always been a landing platform for those who want to approach Linux, just because it is simpler and has a large community, but it does not always become the final solution. (for me it is!)

I always thought that if I hadn't stumbled upon React I would probably have ended up going straight to Vue from PHP, just for familiarity. the benefit of using React was that it forced me to understand JS and Node better. Forced, yes.

I've had to deal with a project that was based on Nuxt and... I only had positive vibes. 👀

But it was using Nuxt.

Is Vue vanilla worth it? Does Nuxt add a lot more "magic", like Next with React?

I've been working and playing with WSL for years, always trying to find a way to justify having it on WS. And I think the only reason to have it is for Docker purposes, instead of use Hyper-V. Otherwise it's just a VM, integrated sure, but it tends to eat up resources... a lot of resources.

If only the WSL wasn't shit... 🫠
