Sadly,I think one last thought is in order for @cnbc.com. Kernen is a self-avowed right-winger with a penchant for (Trumper) class solidarity. My favorite hosts are the professionals who adhere to intellectual traditions in economics, markets, and journalism regardless of who wields power in the US.

Now that @cnbc has been spun off the Comcast linear/cable cash cow, its best path to relevance and revenue is not by serving Joe Kernen's ideologues and insiders more red meat. Give thoughtful investors from the 401k class among Gen X and Gen Y the insights we can use from Liesman, Santoli, and Lee.

I understand that @steveliesman.bsky.social is not pro- or anti-Trump...He is an authentic economist at a time when his colleagues have gone off the rails to favor policies that they long have known stagnate economies, harm the working class, and enrich insiders (themselves?).

Why does the US need Fed fund rate cuts to some indeterminate low rate (0%?) if everything in Trump world is going so swimmingly?

I don't much watch Power Lunch anymore unless Dominic Chu is co-hosting. But, my goodness, @steveliesman.bsky.social made my day. Why @cnbc.com features David Zervos so often is beyond my (unpaid) pay grade as a viewer. So great to hear him questioned so intelligently by somebody on the network!

@cnbc Trump proclaimed a national emergency in order to take control of the US economy as his plaything. He is introducing 5 year soviet-style economic plans (tax cuts and trade deals that expire after his term). Get back to your roots, don't be fooled by your ideologues (Kernen, Cramer, Sullivan).

You all @cnbc look foolish when concerned about the Biden administration's principled regulations and unconcerned about the Trump administration's arbitrary regulations.
