HOV carpooling wasn't meant to curb traffic really. It was meant to give us incentives so we would stop driving so many gasoline and diesel automobiles which are polluting our air, water and land.

But they were created to curve the pollution we were getting from gasoline and diesel automobiles. So the government wanted to cut back on the amount of automobiles on the road, giving us incentives to drive together in carpool vans, cars etc.

I’m horrified by Trump’s order to send 300 National Guard troops to Chicago. We’re only nine months into a four year term and already the president is trying to invade an American city. If you’re in the Guard, you can and should refuse these orders.
