Let me take the other side of Kesh here. I think we strangled that match almost completely defensively and created enough pressure and chances the score 2 goals. It was by no means pretty but it was quite effective, and you can win a league handily if that’s how you perform in midtable away games

When you're playing pretty rubbish football, it really helps no end to be able to just drop a corner on the head of the best dead ball attacker in the league

Since Gabriel Magalhaes arrived in the Premier League he has more goal contributions from corners (17) than Leicester City (16).

Generally speaking the play seems to have been to schmooze elites who are forcing ai into organisations from the top down where working level people are asked to come up with use cases. That’s what I’ve seen anyway

look, not the best soccer we’ve ever played, but Fulham have been a tricky opponents for us recently and ultimately we had the ball in the net twice today and a pen chalked off, so it’s one of those that on another day looks much more comfortable. no complaints from me.

Lee Dixon is 100% wrong. There is significant contact high up on Bukayo Saka's leg before any contact is made on the ball.
This is ridiculous. This is re-refereeing the game. Again.

I think George Floyd and BLM was the turning point where the cracks started showing. People were just unable to simply say that non white people mattered. At the same time terms like unconscious bias and white privilege were just too frightening for the English psyche

Treating the far right moment in the UK as a manifestation of displaced economic concerns or social media radicalisation - these are signs of a country that still refuses to fully come to terms with the history, depth and breadth of its ongoing racism problem.

We need to get past the idea of these people being "radicalised" on X. The British ruling class has been racist for centuries. For a while that was suppressed by hard won anti-racist social norms. But after years of chipping away with e.g. talk of "legitimate concerns" those norms are now collapsing

People talk about this guy's jovial charisma as though he's not incredibly thin-skinned with an ugly streak that comes out at the slightest provocation. If his Westminster opponents had anything about them they'd be playing on that night and day.

Postecoglou in feels like an odd choice. Unless he's willing to make huge compromises on how he wants teams to play, that squad is going to have stylistically whiplash with no pre-season and a sea of midweek fixtures thrown into the mix. Thought a team outside of Europe would've suited him best.

Both Reform (printing that blue football shirt) and the furthest right
of the Conservative Party (Jenrick‘s comments on Birmingham) are obsessed with trying to gain cultural capital through football. They haven’t managed to own that space yet, but they’re going to try.

"more than a few"
Robert Jenrick was born in Jan 1982.
If, as reported, his team is Wolves, they played at Villa 7 times in the 80s, with 3 in 80 and 81, before he was born.
That leaves 4 matches.
1 was when he was 2 months old
1 was when he was 12 months
1 was when he was 2yo
1 match max, '89
