It will need to seem as if the elections haven’t changed, but the ruling party gets more and more votes. Everywhere.

Managing dissent is what ICE is for.

One of the main tenets of Capitalism is that an entrepreneur will invent something better that changes the market, which then dominates the industry.

There are now maybe 80 countries which are better than America. We should switch brands. Lots of folks already have.

We are the nation with the highest guns per capita in the world, and a whole bunch of per capita just lost their entire safety net and have nothing to lose.

Back in November of 2024, I told myself that the actual specific last straw would be Concentration Camps on American soil. And here we are. 9 months later.

Life here will never be the same. Not even right here, where it seems safe now.

This would be a truly excellent time for a little photo op involving Newton, Ferguson & Kotek, the Governors of California, Washington & Oregon. Standing together literally. Maybe with Wendy Cocchia nearby? (Lt Gov of British Columbia)

Point I’m trying to make here is that Protests happen when the normal methods aren’t followed. Folks in charge should really allow the methods to work. Politics should be outrageously boring, in a system that works.

Going as far back as you can, the answer to “why did the protest turn violent?” Is answered by a different question, “who showed up to the protest with weapons?” Parsing out details: wooden stick with sign attached, not a particularly dangerous weapon. Tiki torches? Depends on if they’re lit.

There is only one reason why Kilmar Garcia can’t possibly be returned to the United States. And it’s the ugliest reason no one’s mentioning yet.

SO. Donating money to them is not merely helping a local non profit continue its' excellent work, it also makes that money tax deductible. And income taxes are the main method that the Feds have to obtain Washington money.

ACRS (Asian Counseling and Referral Service) is a Seattle based non-profit that helps asian immigrants navigate through the naturalization process. They help about 700 people a year go from Green Card holders to full citizens. Here's their website: acrs.org

Washington State received $27b in Federal Funds in 2024. Washington State sent $117.8b to the Fed in Taxes collected.
