I was in Hackney with Zack, Zoe, Dylan, Ciara and over 370+ Green activists from across the capital and beyond, on one of our Party’s biggest ever action days.

This weekend, I joined the Southend Green Party on the march and on our stall at Southend Pride.

✅ We Greens have been key supporters of #SouthendPride since the start, being stallholders at every Pride event since 2018, and championing these important events at the City Council and beyond.

Whilst A.R. seemed to struggle to answer the basic question, our policy is unequivocally clear:

"I know there are many trans and non-binary people who will be feeling deeply worried today, caught in the midst of a media storm as they try to simply live their lives. To those people, I say: please know that I stand with you - today, tomorrow and always. The Green Party continues to support a policy of self-ID to allow trans people to live full lives free from harassment in the gender they know themselves to be. The judge emphasised in his speech that trans people are still protected under the law, but it is for government to now demonstrate how this will be achieved.
