Well done, Aoife, and thank you to every pupil who took part.

It was great to be at Bungay Primary School to meet Aoife in Year 5, the winner of my Christmas card competition. Her fantastic design, with beautiful and detailed drawings of animals and a lovely winter scene, will appear on my Christmas cards.

As a parent myself, I am concerned about risks posed to children and younger teenagers by social media. So I'm supportive of the new rules in Australia, though there's lots of detail to work out on how best to protect young people in the UK.

Hopefully life as a Norwich fan is starting to get easier now too! (And as a cross border MP I would of course be happy to visit Ipswich Town too)

Really enjoyed my visit to NorwichCityFC to see the fantastic work they do for the community and the environment. Lovely to see the allotment and solar panels at the Colney training ground as well as the impressive facilities.

Families in my constituency are fighting to protect farmland which has been productive for generations. Without stronger support and practical measures for drought and heat, their livelihoods and local food security are at serious risk.

We are woefully ill-prepared for extreme weather. The Government must do more to back farmers, build resilience, and protect our food supply.

Since 2020, three of the five worst harvests on record have hit the UK.

This year, we saw the hottest and driest spring on record, then the hottest summer. Drought conditions spread across the country, resulting in the second-worst harvest since records began.

I’m proud to help raise awareness this Crohn’s & Colitis Week, showing the world what it’s really like to live with these conditions.

You can’t always see Crohn’s or Colitis, but 1 in 120 people in the UK live with it.

Flare-ups can strike without warning, invisible to others, yet enough to disrupt daily life.

Ten years ago, Storm Desmond devastated communities across the UK.
A decade on, we are facing more frequent extreme weather, more floods & forest fires. Successive govts have failed to prepare, invest in fire & rescue services, & protect the people who need their support most.

In case it wasn't already obvious why Farage and his party are spreading misinformation about the climate crisis and trying to blame the most vulnerable for the problems caused by inequality - they've just received a record donation from a jet fuel multimillionaire!

The Government says it will publish the Animal Welfare Strategy by year's end. It must come out while the House is still sitting, to enable scrutiny.

I have also pressed them to confirm that it will set a clear timeline to end cruel farrowing crates and cages.

People say the UK leads on animal welfare, yet many animals are still kept in awful conditions that others in Europe have already moved away from.

Today I brought together thirty-six MPs and Lords to urge the SoS at Defra to end farrowing crates and cages.

Today, I & 36 MPs and Peers urged Defra to include a clear time-bound plan to end all confinement cages and crates in the upcoming Animal Welfare Strategy.

The Budget claims to offer renewal, but people in Waveney Valley are still facing high bills, stretched services, rising food costs, & threats to our natural environment.

This Budget fails to deliver real change for ordinary people who continue to struggle.

I have always felt that the interim guidance following the Supreme Court ruling was rushed, too blunt and ill thought through. That is why Parliament has a duty to look at the evidence,

The work Oasis does is invaluable. While I was at their recent support night, I had the chance to discuss how essential it is that the EHRC guidance receives proper parliamentary scrutiny.

Oasis offers excellent support to trans people across Norfolk and Suffolk, through support nights and social events.

Far more action is needed to end the scandal of child poverty.

Whilst scrapping the cruel two-child benefit cap will be a huge relief to families across the country, it is unforgivable that it has taken 18 months for the Chancellor to acknowledge the terrible harm and distress this cap has caused to so many families.

It is indefensible that the Chancellor is cutting vital home insulation funding, one of the best ways to lower bills.
