02.02.2026 18:30 β π 7 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0After a fantastic assembly at Burston Primary School, where I answered lots of questions about what it is like being an MP and representing our area, it was great to spend time with the boys and girls as they showed me their new bug hotel in the community orchard.

Now 16 homes will be demolished because defences were not built in time.
Successive Govts have not invested in preparing for climate change.
Climate inaction has real consequences.
I, along with other cross-party MPs and a coalition of civil society organisations, have sent a letter to the UK Govt, urging it not to renew TotalEnergiesβ public-sector gas contract in 2026.
Public procurement must align with our values. The Govt must end its contract with TotalEnergies.
When people are dying and freezing in Ukraine, allies cannot stand by while companies fund war.
TotalEnergies continues to import Russian gas and holds stakes in Russiaβs strategic energy projects, supporting aggression against Ukraine.
Great to be inΒ StowuplandΒ recently for my surgery, followed by a meeting with Green Councillors Keith Welham and Janet Pearson and then knocking on doors to discuss the issues that matter to you in Stowupland.
31.01.2026 09:30 β π 17 π 3 π¬ 0 π 0It was also great to be shown around the SHIP, their new classrooms supporting children with SEND needs, helping them get the support they need while also being in the heart of our community in Roydon School.
30.01.2026 15:02 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This week Roydon Primary School warmly welcomed me into their assembly. I am always impressed by the thoughtful questions from pupils, from what it is like being an MP to the challenges around flooding.
30.01.2026 15:02 β π 18 π 6 π¬ 1 π 0I know that @greenpartyhan.bsky.social will make a spectacular MP, but for that to happen, we need your help, your time or pitching in a few pounds to help the campaign. donatetothe.greenparty.org.uk/parliamentar...
30.01.2026 11:48 β π 22 π 7 π¬ 1 π 0Congratulations to Hannah Spencer for being selected for us in the Gorton and Denton by-election.
It's a clear choice on the 26th of Feb between
@greenparty.org.uk & Reform.
Huge thanks to @frankadlingtons.bsky.social and @greenpartyhan.bsky.social for travelling so far to support our campaigning!
30.01.2026 08:59 β π 6 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Momentum is building for the Greens locally and was great to be campaigning alongside @CllrCTopping, our candidate for Norfolk and Suffolk Mayor.
30.01.2026 08:59 β π 11 π 2 π¬ 1 π 0Great to be out knocking on doors in Diss with Will Porteous, who is standing to be the County Councillor for Diss and Roydon. Will is very active in the local community and would be a great councillor.

This Government has admitted wrongdoing but offered a bitter dose of nothing to a entire generation of women who faced so many hurdles and prejudices in respect of their careers and earnings.

If a practice is too cruel for food produced in Britain, it should be too cruel for food imported into Britain.
I spoke in Parliament to argue that higher welfare standards on British farms should not be undermined by lower-welfare imports.

A Call for Evidence is open for women and families to share their experiences of maternity and neonatal care in England.
It really matters that your voice be heard to give government the best evidence on how to improve care, make services safer,
Great news!
This needs to happen in England too!
Today, on the 81st anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau and International #HolocaustRemembranceDay, at a time when peace seems more distant than ever, it is more critical than ever that we learn and uphold the lessons of the Holocaust. #HMD2026
27.01.2026 13:02 β π 28 π 6 π¬ 0 π 0I support the ban on boiling animals alive. There is no reason for such cruelty. I was glad to see it included in the Animal Welfare Strategy. Now we need the Government to publish a clear roadmap and timelines for this ban to protect lobsters and other crustaceans.
26.01.2026 09:10 β π 40 π 9 π¬ 2 π 0Iβd encourage any community group interested to apply. The deadline for the first round of funding is Monday 16th March.

Bacton Primary Schoolβs pupils did not disappoint with their inquisitive questions about life as an MP and how we can help wildlife.
Diss Amnesty has week in, week out held a vigil for the people of Gaza, making sure we remember the ongoing dire humanitarian crisis. I was pleased to join them against last Saturday and talk about how I am pressing our Government to do more, including on access to aid and healthcare
24.01.2026 10:00 β π 43 π 18 π¬ 0 π 1A strategy is only as good as its delivery. I welcome the Animal Welfare Strategy, but it lacks clear timescales for action.
It also leaves major omissions, including imports of fur and trophy hunting.
The Govt must ensure this strategy delivers real, lasting change for animals
