Weather has changed rapidly over the last week - which means it's heat & indoor activities time. That means it's time to re-examine all my energy monitoring stuff. NGL, I love spending a Friday evening in Home Assistant.

Since I know many of us choose to celebrate it on the Sunday instead of the Monday, Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians.

I get why Carney has to placate the toddler-in-chief, and while I can only speak for myself I'll be clear-- I am trying to avoid sending money to the US for more than one reason - it's NOT just trade-war related.

I seriously thought about cancelling it all together, but Satellite radio still desirable due to cell coverage issues on my usual routes. At least I got my bill cut in half, for both vehicles, and I might even cancel the one vehicle all together. Yep, continuing to reduce dollars headed to the US.

It is taking awhile, but I finally feel like I'm making decent progress in the next steps of looking to curb how many dollars go to the US. Been experimenting with Immich and I think that should significantly cut back my Google storage needs.

Yet another reminder for me to review my dollars and see if there are more opportunities to send them outside of the US.
