Here’s hoping renaming the Gulf of Mexico is exactly as successful as the renaming of the Sears Tower for generations of Chicagoans. (Re: entirely unsuccessful.)

Quick reminder that what was good before is still good now. In spite of the bad now bleeding its way through the US gov’t. The good that drove, inspired and enlightened you is more important than ever. Don’t trade it for fear. Keep doing what you do. That’s how we resist.

I did not protect my peace yesterday and I totally regret it. If, like me, you also did not, starting today is important. Draw something. Read something. I’m gonna go workout. See you in an hour with our hearts and minds a little better.

What’s the difference between a gov controlling an algorithm, silently eliminating reach for things it doesn’t like, vs the same gov using its power, to demand that the platform remove the things it doesn’t like.?

In China they are overt. With TikTok in the US, they control silently

I’ve heard of Loop being very like TikTok but it’s open source. Tiny audience. And it may or may not have been some kind of matchmaking platform?

Yes TikTok is back but also have you ever seen an ad for Instagram there before today? Becaaaause….

What if we just didn’t go back to TikTok? The ghosting, the lack of care—it’s giving toxic. Trump “saving us”? Yikes. What if we stay here, chill on YouTube, and look for a platform that treats us right? Feels like time for a healthier digital relationship.
