For those with US money, past wars usually bolstered the US dollar but that was when the US was the good guy.

I bought a cell phone booster which helps to extend coverage. I know people who got Starlink even before their $7/month Standby plan with unlimited data on 500kbps speed but I’m resisting. More cells switching to 5G means cells get smaller unless they add towers. Coverage over water getting bad.

There are good vaccines and bad vaccines. The measles vaccine is a well tested and documented vaccine. Sadly, Covid vaccines were not and there are way too many vaccine injuries, myself included, that now contributes to vaccine hesitancy. Financial support has to be given to the vaccine injured now!

Not a day goes by where I ask myself if life is worth the few joys while suffering under so much structural violence. So many have it worse. So many have wealth & health, so much better, and so greedy; they only care when bad things happen to them.

And what happens to these selfie posts? Nothing. PWD’s get ghosted by family, friends, neighbours. Because apparently seeing suffering is hard. Maybe they should try actually suffering for once to get some empathy! Parents & teachers are raising a bunch of snowflakes.

I couldn’t sleep last night! Arrgh. I need Dayvigo after all. Zoplidem did nothing. Oxycodone didn’t make me sleepy either. Stress & exertion too high. Life is tough.

Too many dismiss the huge amount of effort & vetting that happens over 4 yrs of BSc, 6 yrs of MSc/PhD, 2 yrs of post-doc. 12 years, minimum. Harder than going from K to 12.

In my experience, patient partners acknowledged in papers were usually not the avg patient, often with appropriate degrees.

When I taught Advanced Placement Physics B (algebra-based) or C (calculus-based), I was sad AP Physics A (limited math, mostly concepts, for Arts students) was never offered. It would’ve been good for journalists.
