If that's the case then cool, I will reserve my judgement until I get to play it. The thing really is that it's not a great look that Halo Studios are kinda nostalgia baiting by riding off old Bungie content once again without making new content that's actually good. The principle is a bit wack.

Infinite was a mixed bag, but actually I wish they'd actually continued the story to its conclusion at least, because it basically stopped on a cliffhanger. The art style going back to the classic thing was great, but the open world was kinda boring and sucked.

That would make sense, but if this is a remaster why does that need to change? The design of the AR in game definitely looks accurate to the MA5B from the original, which is very clearly specified in the lore to have 60 rounds. The addition of an SMG again is unnecessary. Why fix what wasn't broken?

Halo nerds are so critical because for many years we have been fed disappointments with the franchise we are passionate about. 343/HS have broken the players' trust uncountable times, so I think we have a right to be wary and critical, especially when it's a remaster and not any new content.

I understand but then it should be marketed as a remake, not a remaster.

A remaster respects the original design of the game as closely as possible. The original remaster for this game was received poorly because it changed too much about the original. I just don't want the same mistake again.
