Today’s recommendation: The Return of The Flying Hats (2025). Hammond led reggae/rocksteady instrumentals with a heap of fatback funk. Perfectly executed and the vinyl pressing is bang on.

Federal promo copies came with the label in white. The drill hole denotes it was originally an unsold copy which probably went in the bargain bins.
