It appears I’m going to SlamDunk festival with my kids in May, which is amazing; slightly ashamed to admit however that I’ve ordered VIP, purely to get access to a non-radioactive khasi and some comfy chairs 🤷🏻‍♂️

Slightly spooky that I was just watching it and had exactly the same thought!

I had a couple of months off work last year and did every single record I owned, shelf by shelf; I think it was the happiest I’ve been in ages 😂

I have tried a few times to watch it - but I just find it boring and unnecessarily complicated; and there are too many people on the pitch.

Rugby league season starts soon - and there’s a Challenge Cup game on the telly tomorrow! 🏉

Likewise - that blue-eyed soul/sophisti-pop sound used to be a guilty pleasure; but in my not giving a fuck era, I just like it 🤷🏻‍♂️

I couldn’t agree more; rugby league is where it’s at - sadly lacking the mainstream coverage, because the people responsible for programming went to the same schools that rugby union was played at

I love mine - not a single record gets near my turntable until it’s been through the machine. It’s brought some aged and well loved records back to life 🙌

Indeed - she was a fine chat!

I have today deployed my rudimentary French to have a lovely conversation with the proprietor of this fabulous record shop. “Je recherche des albums fondateurs de la French Touch.” We made it work - money was exchanged - and I got to meet the shop cat. Every record shop should have a cat 🐱
