PSA on the "Intersex Valentino" tag Bigential Valentino fans... please stop tagging your work as intersex! Do some research about intersex first! It does not mean having a fully functional dick and vagina. I would love to read some works about Val being intersex (in life or after death) and I love reading about him having dual genitalia as well, but the intersex community already has to deal with so many people misunderstanding them. They have struggled to fight for their recognition as to who they are, not only to the public, but to the medical field who would try to pin binary labels on them. I know Valentino is a Sinner, not human, but as intersex is a real human condition, using that term to mean something different on a nonhuman character propagates the lies people unwittingly spread and believe about those who are intersex. "Dual genitalia" or "bigenital" are good tags. They mean what most of you intend. Stop unintentionally fetishizing the intersex community. Help spread the word. And don't feel bad if you didn't know before reading this. It's okay! We don't all know everything. We just have to learn, accept we didn't know and what we did wrong, and then do better.
