If you are considering leaving US, basically any place in Europe is a great place to live. A lot of them also have smaller taxes

โœ… Lesson: not all hotels are remote-friendly โ€” even if they look good on the map.

If you need a place to work in the morning โ€” skip this hotel.
Nothing open, no seats... just... reception.

Wasted my time and walked over to Hilton instead.

Asked at reception if thereโ€™s anywhere to sit and work.
Answer: No.
No lobby, no cafรฉ, no workspace.
Restaurant opens at 12:00 if I remember correctly โ€” until then, you're on your own.

Started my day here. It's across from Hilton, but a 15 min walk in reality.
Hoped to work from the lobby or cafรฉ... but found nothing.

๐Ÿช‘ Tables seem fine for 2โ€“4h sessions (I left earlier).
๐Ÿ“Pro: no need to order anything to stay.
๐Ÿ“‰ Con: unstable internet makes it risky for dev work.

Thereโ€™s also a bar in the lobby that opens at 12:00 (same wifi).

Switched to a mobile hotspot โ€” still slow. Possible reasons:
โ€“ overloaded network (conference in progress)
โ€“ signal blocked by the building
โ€“ congested local BTS (cell tower)

Bottom line: not usable for any serious workflow.

๐Ÿ“ถ Unfortunately, the hotel Wi-Fi didnโ€™t work with my companyโ€™s VPN.
I couldnโ€™t connect to internal resources.

VPNs like NordVPN or Surfshark would likely work (more flexible protocols), but I didnโ€™t test them on-site.

Tried using the hotel lobby as a workspace.
โœ”๏ธ Tables designed for working
โœ”๏ธ Power outlets available
โœ”๏ธ Quiet, premium atmosphere

In theory โ€” solid conditions. But only in theory ๐Ÿ’ฉ

I recently upgraded from a 140cm to a 180cm bed, and now my fiancรฉe and I sleep much betterโ€”weโ€™re both tall and finally have room to stretch.
Sometimes small changes in comfort can quietly reflect bigger progress. What do you think?
