If you are considering leaving US, basically any place in Europe is a great place to live. A lot of them also have smaller taxes

Lesson: not all hotels are remote-friendly โ even if they look good on the map.

If you need a place to work in the morning โ skip this hotel.
Nothing open, no seats... just... reception.
Wasted my time and walked over to Hilton instead.

Asked at reception if thereโs anywhere to sit and work.
Answer: No.
No lobby, no cafรฉ, no workspace.
Restaurant opens at 12:00 if I remember correctly โ until then, you're on your own.

Started my day here. It's across from Hilton, but a 15 min walk in reality.
Hoped to work from the lobby or cafรฉ... but found nothing.
Good luck in your business

๐ช Tables seem fine for 2โ4h sessions (I left earlier).
๐Pro: no need to order anything to stay.
๐ Con: unstable internet makes it risky for dev work.
Thereโs also a bar in the lobby that opens at 12:00 (same wifi).

Switched to a mobile hotspot โ still slow. Possible reasons:
โ overloaded network (conference in progress)
โ signal blocked by the building
โ congested local BTS (cell tower)
Bottom line: not usable for any serious workflow.

๐ถ Unfortunately, the hotel Wi-Fi didnโt work with my companyโs VPN.
I couldnโt connect to internal resources.
VPNs like NordVPN or Surfshark would likely work (more flexible protocols), but I didnโt test them on-site.

Tried using the hotel lobby as a workspace.
โ๏ธ Tables designed for working
โ๏ธ Power outlets available
โ๏ธ Quiet, premium atmosphere
In theory โ solid conditions. But only in theory ๐ฉ

VPNs like Nord or Surfshark would likely work (less strict protocols), but I didnโt test that on-site.
It depends

Sometimes small changes in comfort can quietly reflect bigger progress. What do you think?
