A colour photograph in landscape format. It shows the top section of two stained glass windows focussing in on the beautifully painted faces of the Cheshire knight Hugh Lupus and Saint Ermenhild of Ely
Stained Glass windows
This post shows a fragment of a stained glass window by the #Cheshire artist Trena Cox (1895 - 1980). The painting of the faces was beautifully done, these were seen at the Chapel of the University of Chester in October 2024.

I enjoyed watching the @rcahmwales.bsky.social Christmas lecture last night while cooking dinner! ๐จโ๐ณ Their senior investigators talked about their best discoveries around Wales in 2025. It was recorded and should be online next week (probably at www.youtube.com/@rcahmw). @drtobydriver.bsky.social

A black and white photograph in portrait format. It shows a white gate, in need of TLC, which is the entrance to the canal towpath at Christleton, Cheshire. Beyond the gate the canal curves to the right, there are mature willow trees on the far bank and you can glimpse a canal boat moored up in the distance.
Access to Amble About
This gate has seen lots of walkers and ramblers and provided access to the canal towpath. A =Access. Happy Sunday everyone!
