What new LGBTQIA+ screen studies scholarship should we be celebrating this pride month? What classic work should we revisit? Tell us about your new projects, or send us your recommendations for books, articles and video essays we should know about

In response to today's supreme court ruling, we want to urge any researcher in Trans Histories to consider a proposal to our new Queer & Trans Histories series - because research into Trans histories will help to shape Trans futures: manchesteruniversitypress.co.uk/series/queer...

Peter Jewell and Bill Douglas in a garden with items from the moving image collection.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peter Jewell, our Honorary Patron and Principal Donor.

The collection he built with his great friend Bill Douglas is an amazing legacy to leave the world.

Thank you Peter, we are profoundly grateful for your vision, energy and enthusiasm.

I'm very pleased to have helped guest edit the latest issue of Early Popular Visual Culture. It also features new research into Robert Paul, colour films in the Scottish Highlands, roll of honour films + a 1920s copyright dispute
