Mono was a bit untrustworthy of Doctors, given his encounter with The Doctor at the hospital..

The thought mannequin hands reaching out from him followed by the mannequins chasing him gave him the chills.

And the Doctor.. crawling on the ceiling.

“But most of them are gone forever.

Those still alive are hiding, and…” Mono trails off as he recalls what happed to Six, his best friend.

Or so-called best friend.

Whatever he was going to say, he decides against it.

“You can’t trust anyone there.”

Mono relaxed into the hug, closing his eyes beneath the bag. Poor kiddo, he was shaking.. or shivering.

Perhaps a combination of both ? Maybe he was sick ? Who knows.

He most definitely was long over due for a check up of some sort. 💧

“There’s others like me in that world,” he began.

Mono awkwardly stood still like an NPC, almost unsure of what to do.

Was there really noting to run from in this world… ?

Looking over at the Captain, Mono made the ultimate decision to hug him. Aw ☹️

Mono blinks beneath the paper bag once again, turning to look back at the Captain.

“Okay…” he trails off as his stomach growls obnoxiously loud.

When was the last time he had eaten .. ?

Probably not for a while, judging by how scrawny and frail he looks. 💧

Mono reached beneath his bag to scratch at his face — wearing the lunch bag provided a sense of comfort, in a way.

Almost like a security blanket.

“.. I’m Mono,” He shyly introduced himself, nervously glancing at the screen.

It was normal, obviously. Yet his paranoia was getting the better—

— quietly muttered, the frantic beating of his heart fading away.

He slowly approached the Captain and didn’t stop until he was right by him.

Beneath the paper bag, he stared quietly at the polar bear.

Mono doesn’t receive much social interaction, and is therefore a bit.. awkward. 💧

There was something about the way the Captain spoke that instantly managed to make Mono feel at ease, feel… safe ?

He didn’t understand the definition of safe because he never was safe where he’s from.

But for some reason, Mono found himself trusting the Captain’s word.

“… Okay,” he —

— he’d be chased, because that’s how all the adults where he came from were.

They were monsters … 💧

— eyes widened as he turned to look at the Captain.

He frantically scrambled back, breathing heavily. Mono’s heart was pounding so hard from fear that it could literally be heard. ☹️

“N- Not this again…” he quietly stammered. “I don’t want to be chased..”

Hearing another voice, one that didn’t belong to a fellow child, was like a breath of fresh air.

Where he came from, the adults… they didn’t speak. The only noises they made were that of terrifying monsters.

Because they are monsters.. or at least became them.

Mono was obvious to his current surroundings and the people in the room— he was too busy catching the much needed breather, which was accompanied by occasional sniffles.

— wore a paper bag over his head, accompanied by a dirty oversized jacket and pants covered in dry mud.

He lacked any shoes, and seemed heavily malnourished.

Despite his face being covered, his breathing could be heard— loud and frantic, as if he had barely escaped from something .. or —
