Ahh, fudge. It's right in the middle of my film production class. Let me see if there's anything I can do. It sounds like a great workshop. Thanks!

Hi! I live in the states, but most of my current work is based in the UK or Europe. Is it okay if I sign up??

I've heard that Leah has conducted tests.
Right?

I'm envisioning something with a treadmill, or an indoor half pipe???

Yep! Pretty good argument to never do a self-insert character!

I've seen chefs use them for onions, of all things.

Definitely! I'm chained to my laptop.
If I'm out and about, I'll take paper notes, and love to have a whiteboard to draw timelines on, but I always return to the PC.

I'm just thankful that writing is the best therapy available.

As a professor, I respectfully reserve the right to monologue IRL at will.
(I actually talk about just this with students, about how little people actually monologue.)
This is a great bib/bob. Thanks!

The logline doesn't just tell the reader about your screenplay.

It also reveals if you have some basics down on the business, understand the market, and can recognize a good story idea.

You're not just selling the screenplay in that moment. You're selling YOU.

But, no pressure!

How much time do you have to talk about this? Feel free to DM if you want.

I'm thankful for every chance I get to write, tell stories, and teach.

Though...if you want to direct it yourself, go for it! A number of great films started from shorts. Whiplash comes to mind.

I'd recommend that you finish it first and even polish it a bit. Make sure it's your story, then share it. There will still be plenty of room for development.

Money is one reason, but also, I think almost any director out there would see the trailer and say, "Looks like you've already got a vision. You don't need me. F off!"
