Thelma was amazing!
26.01.2025 16:41 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ahh, fudge. It's right in the middle of my film production class. Let me see if there's anything I can do. It sounds like a great workshop. Thanks!
19.01.2025 15:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Let me just check that I'm not teaching during the event.
19.01.2025 15:29 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hi! I live in the states, but most of my current work is based in the UK or Europe. Is it okay if I sign up??
19.01.2025 15:24 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I've heard that Leah has conducted tests.
Right?
Signed up and looking forward to it!!!
10.01.2025 17:56 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm envisioning something with a treadmill, or an indoor half pipe???
10.01.2025 17:54 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yep! Pretty good argument to never do a self-insert character!
01.01.2025 18:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I've seen chefs use them for onions, of all things.
22.12.2024 20:56 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Definitely! I'm chained to my laptop.
If I'm out and about, I'll take paper notes, and love to have a whiteboard to draw timelines on, but I always return to the PC.
ACAB
16.12.2024 18:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Friends??? Sounds like they are out to get you!
16.12.2024 18:51 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Exactly! Who needs time to sleep, or eat...or breathe...
I'm just thankful that writing is the best therapy available.
Just a bit of work, right??
Good luck!!
My pleasure! And yes, this is a very nice place.

(I actually talk about just this with students, about how little people actually monologue.)
This is a great bib/bob. Thanks!
The logline doesn't just tell the reader about your screenplay.
It also reveals if you have some basics down on the business, understand the market, and can recognize a good story idea.
You're not just selling the screenplay in that moment. You're selling YOU.
But, no pressure!
#scriptsky
Yeah, no pressure.
Sigh.
Fantastic film!
30.11.2024 20:26 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That is brilliant! So much for sequences!
30.11.2024 20:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0How much time do you have to talk about this? Feel free to DM if you want.
30.11.2024 20:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Choking, crying...both good reactions.
30.11.2024 20:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0#scriptsky Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate it!
I'm thankful for every chance I get to write, tell stories, and teach.
Every dang project is different!
28.11.2024 15:45 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0@russgascoigne.bsky.social Hi, Russell! Very good to meet you!
28.11.2024 13:47 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Though...if you want to direct it yourself, go for it! A number of great films started from shorts. Whiplash comes to mind.
27.11.2024 14:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'd recommend that you finish it first and even polish it a bit. Make sure it's your story, then share it. There will still be plenty of room for development.
27.11.2024 14:03 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Money is one reason, but also, I think almost any director out there would see the trailer and say, "Looks like you've already got a vision. You don't need me. F off!"
27.11.2024 13:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0That sounds great! Best of luck!
