One of the alt povs expanded in this book, and it makes me want to gouge my ears out. It is torture to listen to it, and I'm annoyed at how little time our main characters are getting. #BookSky

Have you read Throne of Glass and Crescent City? I haven't started them yet, but I've heard the worlds might be colliding, so I'm going to read them before ACOTAR 6 comes out.

Every series needs a revenge tour. ๐คฃ ๐ฅ
The Plated Prisoner tv series is in development, and I can't wait to see it on screen. It's gonna be more shocking than GoT. It's gonna be a spike to the face for anyone who thinks romantasy is silly. #BookSky
With all the negative reviews I read before starting it, I was not expecting it to be the best thing I've ever read. It dug it's claws right into my heart and won't let go. ๐ญ

Whatever Xaden has planned for book 4 of Fourth Wing isn't going to hold a candle to this villain era. He might as well just go home. ๐คฃ

This cliffhanger is outrageous in the best way. I don't know how every plot point in this series can feel both surprising and inevitable, but here we are again. Two books to go!

This book is a lot of tell and not show, but it's a nice expansion of our understanding of the characters and the world. Things are moving slowly, but they are moving.
And shout out to the side character romance. That trope should be used more.

I have cried four times in 1 hr 15 mins of listening to this book today. Healing tears.
The way the story is expanding to let us love the side characters is very satisfying. I also remain jealous of the best name ever given: Ryatt (Riot).

The exploration of domestic abuse and complex trauma continues. ๐ญ The alt POVs are being used really well in this book to expand our understanding of characters and offer a break in the tension when needed.

I was screaming and crying (with joy) at the end of this book. This is probably the best trilogy I have ever read. The best character arc for sure. The series continues, but there is a natural end point to part of the story in this book. Wow.

This is the slowest of slow burn romances, but somehow it didn't smolder enough. Really not enough set up. Looking forward to seeing how the new dynamic changes the plot, though. Things are about to kick off, I can feel it.

I don't love the choice to have villain pov chapters, except that they reveal who these characters really are in a story where the fmc is so unreliable. At least this book is moving right along.

I know Anthony Palmetti is lauded for voicing shadow daddies, but his villains are top-tier. I hate every single one of them and their sniveling voices. The tension, even when they are friendly and charismatic, is unmatched.

The way I RAN to borrow the next book in this series. ๐ฑ
Don't plan on taking a break.

This series should be studied for having the most unreliable of unreliable narrators. She is sheltered, gaslit, lying to herself, and withholding from us. It is stunning storytelling, the way it unwinds.

I spent most of this book with my jaw on the floor. This is a slow burn horror, but not a slow burn romance (at least not yet ๐). Romantasy girlies beware. This series shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as ACOTAR or Fourth Wing.
#BlueSky
This series should be studied for having the most unreliable of unreliable narrators. She is both lives in her own reality and is also not being honest with us. Really spectacular.

I haaaate the secondary pov in this book. ๐ฉ I'm listening to her chapters on 2x speed just to get through it, something I have never done with an audiobook before. Such a buzzkill just as the story is picking up speed.

This is a horror story. Don't pick it up unless you are willing to examine the compromises you have made to the patriarchy.
I have never been so happy to see books by women stepping out of the male gaze and really digging in to the truth. โค๏ธ

This book is slow moving, but it is rich. The way that it explores perspective with a naive narrator is rewarding. We did just meet the first likeable female side character in the entire series, which is not a great way to tell a story...

Anyone picking up this series for the romantasy needs to be warned. Book 1 is entirely sexual assault on trafficked women, some of it extremely graphic. I actually like it as a complicated start to the fmc's journey, but it is hard.
Taking a break between audiobooks to watch Best in Show for the 100th time. Anyone who knows Catherine O'Hara from Schitt's Creek has some catching up to do on Christopher Guest movies!! โค๏ธ
