Read. Write. Do Math. I eat books then rant or rave (sometimes both) about them. Oh, and I also help write them too. Service requests open at http://mathterworks.com

Spilled my coffee and almost got hit by a coworker tailing me way too close. Let's hope the rest of the day doesn't follow the same vein.

It really was! Lacked a little polish, but I enjoyed the book overall. I hope I'll get the chance to read the sequel (following the fmc's sister) when it releases.

THE UNWILLING PLUS ONE was quite a bit better than I thought it would be. A fun and quick read with two leads and a full supporting cast I actually enjoyed. Murder family and kidnapping plot...but funny, romantic, and healthy relationship goals (eventually).

Looking at my upcoming list of NetGalley picks (I may have bitten off a LOT), I couldn't help but notice how many books release on Tuesdays. Is this an industry thing as a whole?

WHAT WE DID by Brian O'Rourke released today! If you like thrillers centered on family ties with lots of twists and turns, I recommend cozying up with this one during the ice and snow storm. πŸ’™πŸ“š

Hopefully, this will be my first 5 star read of 2026! ARC obtained through NetGalley.

I love when this happens. The stop and wow of a great book.

I hope my next year's reading is more like this. I haven't had a good balance for a while.

I can't seem to watch the Fallout series without feeling compelled to play one of the games again.

Everyone dealt with death, memories, and old pain at some point, and it was my turn on the merry-go-round, but I wanted off. I didn’t remember standing in line for this ride.

One of the best lines dealing with grief that I can remember reading. From a Heart So Haunted by Hollie Nelson.

I reread one of my favorite books from years ago in 2025, and found it hit just as hard if not harder.

80s today, a freeze coming in soon. Stocked up so I can stay in, cozy with my pets and books through the cold.

The House in the Cerulean Sea is great! I'm also oddly proud of my copy being a misprint (the pages are upside down to the cover).

That's been a hard question for me too. I used to force myself, but then I would also be faced with the issue of giving an honest review at the end. Now, I DNF but try to explain my reasoning if communication is open.

I've decided to make my reading goal not based in the number of books for next year, but on reading itself. My goal is instead just to make sure I read every day, even if it's only a page.

Are you wanting to physically write or just have a digital place to write? You can leave private notes on StoryGraph too if it's the second one.
