Embroidery on a deep orange square of cotton fabric. In the centre, a circle of pattered yellow and white fabric; from top left clockwise there are embroidered stitched in the shape of a bird, a blue feathery plant, a curling wave, a broken leaf, a white flower and a star
A deep orange coloured square of cotton fabric showing the back of embroidered stitches and long tails of cotton threads arranged in a spiralling formation around the square.
Beautiful square for #StitchAssemblyRGS25 featuring detail of key moments across the #RGS-IBG conference.
'The back with dangling βspirallingβ threads signifies the invisible interconnections and on-going (future) weaving of seen and unseen'.

Thousands of tonnes of toxic landfill liquid added to sewage and spread on English farms
Exclusive: Leachate is tankered to treatment works where it mixes with sewage and industrial effluent
A massive, dangerous and disgusting scandal, of which far too few people are yet aware. At @fightingdirty.bsky.social we'll keep pushing to stop it. Congrats to @rachelsalvidge.bsky.social for continuing to shine the light:

This morning, Israeli forces raided and demolished the Seed Multiplication Unit of the Union of Agricultural Work Committees' (UAWC) national seed bank in Hebron.
Using bulldozers and heavy machinery, the Israeli army destroyed the storage warehouses and infrastructure where essential equipment, seed materials, and tools for indigenous seed reproduction were kept.
This is not just an attack on a building-its an attack on Palestinian food sovereignty, biodiversity and cultural memory.
Israel destroyed a Palestinian seed bank today. This is such a specific kind of evil, targeting literal hope for the future. Attempting to further alienate Palestinians from their home and land. So much destroyed just for the sake of destroying. It's awful.
