I won't because it's probably somebody's favourite, or a work of import to a section of society that'd be bothered that it spewed me off of a whole industry.

That seems to be exactly the thing, I must not want to invest the time in a novel I find less than great anymore and consequently don't seek out new fiction. I used to read everything all the way through no matter how bad.
I can still name the book that gave me the boak for fiction.

I've just thought, I did keep reading fiction in the hope that I'd encounter some spark of the former joy, but it turns out that I'd prefer to be moved by a real person's life and loves etc. The fictional depictions leave me seeing beautiful artifice with no foundations...
