It’s time to get big money out of politics and to remove lifetime benefits for elected officials. When they leave office and have to go back to the same healthcare situation the rest of us depend on, they might start making better choices for the people who pay their salary.

While I appreciate your stance I am feeling very discouraged after the Senate Dems caved today. Especially since we all know the Republicans will vote against any healthcare bill the Dems put up for a vote.

I am so disappointed in them. I have been commenting on every Dem leaders posts about the shutdown on this page begging them to not bend the knee and then they did just that.

I am against it. It’s a promise to vote but not a promise to vote in favor of the ACA. R’s will vote against any bill that gets put in front of them. Then for kicks they will continue to work on eliminating SNAP and other programs vulnerable people depend on.🤬

I guess it’s easy to cave when you are guaranteed healthcare for life because you were elected into office and don’t have to worry about how you will afford the sky rocketing premiums many are being faced with. How long do you think it will take the R’s to back out of the promise to vote???

We tried to tell them. They wouldn’t listen and now we are seeing it happen. I want to be angry at the adults who voted for this but my heart honestly hurts for their children who literally had no control over this and are now suffering because of it.

Interesting that after their sweeping losses this past week he has suddenly become concerned with affordability. Well, at least until these corporations starting making sizable donations to him. Then it will be a big screw you to the rest of us.

You need to get out in the rural counties and meet with those constituents. Van Epps signs are up all over Montgomery County as well as the other rural ones. I have seen very few Aftyn signs in these areas. Like I’ve said before Davidson County won’t win it for you.

Pretty sure SNAP recipients and those in danger of losing healthcare coverage aren’t feeling like he’ll do anything for anyone right now.🤬

Bill Lee has also stated TN won’t be helping his constituents either. Gotta stand by their dear leader instead of acting to help their most vulnerable people.

Can we also talk about red state governors who are also refusing to help their own constituents? Bill Lee announced this week that he would not provide any funding to help families in need that could lose benefits. I don’t ever want to hear this party spew claims of having Christian values again.

He’s realizing that the Dems won’t budge on this issue and now has to tell his people to back down. Question is how long until they remove SNAP benefits once the government opens back up because they will do it at some point?

It is the country we grew up in. Difference is people used to hide it because it was considered unacceptable. Now they feel completely comfortable being open with who they really are now. The masks are off and now we, as white people, are seeing just how much rot was really there.

I hope this comes back to bite her in the ass in the election. She is most definitely not about helping her constituents.

Interesting how many red states are not on this list when they have a large number of constituents being affected by this.
