What goes through my mind when Canadians complain about our healthcare

Autistic people get a bad rap for universally lacking empathy (some of us do identify as experiencing low empathy - many do not) but the truth is most people do not, on a day to day basis, truly empathize with people who are fundamentally different from them.

I’m the hyper-empathetic type autistic and my autistic sons are low empathy but they’re still 2 of the kindest gentlest most loving souls you’ll ever encounter. I think, in all honesty, there’s a lot of narcissistic fake empathy coming from people these days. I think empathy is overrated.

Nova Scotia health *recently* signed with google cloud so I explained to my coworkers this meant our health records are no longer private and can be used among other things to train AI in the US to replace HCW. They’d no idea. Nova Scotia health most definitely should have known this.

The PANS/PANDAS community saw this coming and tried to warn everyone. Our kids were just the canaries in the coal mine. All these selfish petty adults who said it was fine if kids got COVID and couldn’t be bothered to project them. Shame on all of them.

They wouldn’t be doing what they’re doing if they were going to allow a free and fair election. They will be imprisoned if they get voted out. There is no peaceful solution at this point. That ship has sailed.

I can’t help but feel the far right in the US has set up a lot of no win situations where you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t.

Wake up, American doctors! They are doing all they can to eliminate small private practices and force you to sell out to the monopolies. Once you do, they will lower wages and increase work demands. Add in midlevels being recklessly churned out and AI and y’all are cooked. Get out while you can 🇨🇦

They will use this to eliminate even more small private practices and force them to sell out to the monopolies just like they did with the Change healthcare cyberattack

When Roe fell in 2022 and we didn’t take to the streets I knew it was going to be a couple decades until an effective organized resistance came to fruition. Too many Americans are still too comfortable. I feel for everyone there fighting the good fight. And fear for them. Dark times ahead.

It’s amazing to me how angry and mean most Americans are and yet completely unwilling to do what needs to be done there right now. So glad I escaped that dumpster fire.
