Today at Development and Climate Day in Dubai, @WBG_Climate arranged a session on #decolonizing climate finance to scale up #locally_led_action. I asked them if they are ready to dismantle their systems to decolonize finance. I got no answer.

Starting my last day at @COP28_UAE with the quote of Dr. Saleem Ul Huq,
"The climate change story is not about doing something at COP. The climate change story is about tackling climate change on the ground, preventing millions of people from dying".
I wear a #keffiyeh at @COP28_UAE not just to show solidarity with #Palestine, but also to point out the big fat elephant. There is no #climate_justice with militarization and occupation of sovereign lands.

Here at #COP28, the silence of 70000 people about #warcrimes and #climate_injustice, with fossil fuel power breathing over their neck is too uncomfortable to bear. But here I am, attending my first #COP with a smile.
