Watching Muppet Christmas Carol, as one does, and struck with a warm feeling about humanity. Not because of Christmas, but because a person wrote this story, and a hundred years later other people painstakingly created a version of it with puppets and miniatures and film

In the final minutes of It's a Wonderful Life, George Bailey gets to see what the world would look like if it was ruled by a malicious megalomaniac with no empathy and no concern beyond increasing his own personal wealth. Thank goodness that'll never happen.

Remember on this day that, canonically, George Bailey’s re-discovery of the value of his life takes place at the same time as the failed hit attempt on Vito Corleone.

I’m seeing it again Saturday with my mom and my bestie and her mom! Obviously I’m biased because I grew up with the show, but I think it’s such a beautiful opportunity for celebrating those classic girl bonds

I love getting to watch my baby nephew (17 mos) try to imitate sounds! Last time I saw him I did some silly lip trills for him, and the best he could do was repeating “ha-boo” over and over again 😂
