10 minutes later of telling her she sends me a pic of having clicked it 1k times.

I hardly planned for this like I do AC but yeah Autumn and I will be attending Furrydelphia.

Never been to this one, only have experience with AC so lets see how a smaller con feels!

I've done a few runs solo. It kind of depends on RNG and also what the map is for that day.
Each day, the game has a set random generation (or so it seems) for each level. It will always be the same terrain for that day, and sometimes the terrain is super difficult, especially for a solo player.

Still kind of irritated that the inflatable PARROT in front of us was actually accepted into the fursuit parade.
Not a fursuit. Does it cover the skin? I suppose, but like... come on... REALLY?

Suit looks great, the badge is very nice too! I am glad you got to attend a con again

Last night at Anthrocon, up on the roof as the fireworks started, I proposed to @autumnsciomancy.bsky.social
Had the ring on me all day waiting for that moment.
She, of course as said before, accepted.
So she is now my fiancé. Couldn't be happier

Day 1 was absolutely AWESOME!!! Started this during registration and just finished it now of myself @autumnsciomancy.bsky.social and @calobrin.bsky.social leaving the hotel to get in line for #anthrocon2025!

Ya know, a lot of the drama and people screeching about Anthrocon and how they are banning poodling, and all other baseless claims lately, really just remind me of this.
Feels like some people don't even know what they are angry about and straight up have the facts wrong.

Someone who has been planning for the parade for MONTHS, got a whole outfit, but then just getting "unlucky" and having their spot taken by someone in a tail and ears is going to feel HEAVILY slated. Is that REALLY a better option you would prefer?
Also. There literally IS a cap on parade this year.

If you want an example of a lottery system being a "feel bad" situation by those not graced by the RNG gods, look at the housing in Final Fantasy XIV where willing participants place their money on a player home but just.. Not winning, again and again.
It isn't better, people will just feel bitter.

... They do give out free water..
There are several LARGE water coolers available in many locations, especially in parade lineup. As well as giant fans for cooling down
This has literally been a thing for the past years I have gone.
Also, the parade is only outside for like 5 min / 1 min in sunlight

It is thanks to her that this trip has managed to turn around. We got our tickets. We got a hotel. We got to change to our DESIRED hotel. The stars are aligning here, and I am just thrilled to bits.

So for Anthrocon 2025 we will be at the Hamtpon Inn! Hell yes!

We were going there originally before our plans fell through. It is where we have gone the past 3 years.
The current situation at the Doubletree really had me second guessing (water damage, people are being reassigned to a different hotel).
But we inquired and got it. FULL CREDIT to Autumn for this!

Holy CRAP this is exciting.
When we reclaimed our Anthrocon tickets and got a con block rate hotel at the Doubletree, we just were happy to have a room. It isn't our first choice but we took what we can get
Well, Autumn just managed to snag one of the last few rooms in con block at the Hamtpon! Omg!

Turns out they use HelloTech as a third party for wiring
Okay fine, set an appointment, prepaid 220 or so (xfinity discount) to have someone come run cables through the walls
But as I said he decided to relocate the gateway to MY ROOM and plug in my PC
Had issues with wifi all day today but I got it

Went through Xfinity first, they sent a tech out when I inquired.
The guy said "I'm not doing that, I don't want to run wires" and replaced our old outdated gateway.
This was a slight improvement but not perfect and not what I wanted
Called up to complain and they told me they don't do wires anymore

Internet speed test showing 720.71 download and 41.83 upload speeds (mbps).

I have spent the past 5+ years with shoddy and spotty internet. Long range wifi signal leaving me with sometimes 8, to 14, maybe 20, MAYBE in the range of 50-80 mbps download speed
I tried getting an appointment in for in wall cables run to get a hard wire
They just moved the box instead.
But hey..

But.. I am pretty sure that is *exactly* what they are doing.
They are making a cap on parade attendance. They are making it so you have to show up with either the outfit you will wear or a picture of what you will wear to be approved.

This rule is simply to reduce the overall pool size of suiters.

It has been one hell of a long year
Dragged through a veritable storm of shit and drama. I want to make sure this AC is the biggest and best yet. It may only be the 3 of us (my girlfriend, my best friend Bonnie, and myself). But I am determined to make the most of this second chance
