PnF is another one I was obsessed with as a kid.. was also kinda falling off it around the same time as sponge... Didn't really think about much at all inbetween its original end & revival... i don't like the revival, even eps I think sound interesting on paper I'll watch & be like "wow this sucks"

Idk I just find sponge specifically interesting because it's the only childhood thing I can think of that I've returned to and got just as obsessed with as an adult as I was when I was a child

My personal sponge history:
2012 was the first time I really didn't like new episodes coming out (which makes sense, I think, I was a teen: getting a bit old for nick)
I liked the 2nd movie when that was new, I stuck around for episodes that aired between 2015-2017 and fell off again til 2021

My own personal "Sponge Renaissance" definitively starts in 2021 but even during 2017-2020 I can remember a time I watched a then new episode, it wasn't religiously like it was now or during childhood, but it happened.

Going through sponge eps trying to pinpoint when exactly I had stopped watching it and honestly I don't think there's ever been a year where I didn't at least check out a recent episode out of curiosity, even during my "I hate Spunchborp" phase
