I assumed was a fake Irish accent, i.e. somebody not from Ireland attempting a stereotypical “Irish” accent. It turned out to be real. Is this necessarily true? Feel free to question how informed I am on the matter of English dialects, but I’ve been thrown off more than once with speakers. I once pinned a Newfoundlander to Dublin (albeit maybe having spent some time across the pond). On another memorable occasion I heard what …

Is there any indication it was scraped from academia itself? I’m a big proponent of open publishing, but it occurs to me that any paper of mine, or anybody else’s, that was published openly could be easily scraped and if it’s linked in academia they might still send a notification like this.
