Every single time I go back to yoga after a hiatus, I'm like "Wow. This yoga stuff really works! Have you guys all tried this thing called yoga?" It's impact and beneficial effects surprise me every time--and I don't know why I don't learn...

I've been hearing polkadots are back in...and it's making me miss this fantastic ESPRIT black blouse with white polkadots that I used to wear with blue jeans and doc martens whose laces I replaced with black ribbons that tied into large bows.

Some days... I just want to move to the country and wear flowered dresses and pretend I live in the April Cornell catalog.

You know how eccentric old ladies have a theme? Like they'll love bunny motifs and incorporate them into home decor and fashion choices, or collect little porcelain bunny statues and the like? I'm a planner, so I'm calling lemons. Happy, bright, sunny lemons. 🍋

Sometimes I think about the whole John Travolta / Idina Menzel / "Adele Dazeem" kerfuffle... and laugh and laugh.

This one threw me for a loop. I spent much of it being frustrated, and then was DEVASTATED by the ending (I know you'll know what I mean.) 💔

It is a *very* difficult word. I don't trust myself with it AT ALL.

The takeaway? Maybe we all need to read the pivotal scenes of our work out loud, to make sure the actions and reactions really ring true.

Consequently, I find myself rethinking my own "third rail" (as the #StoryGenius method would call it) and striving to make it an authentic and believable motivating factor.

As I listen to the narrator build the story, I keep finding myself thinking "THAT'S what trips the MC up? THAT'S their reaction? THAT'S the thing that's going to make them pivot? Nope. No way...."

There's something about the experience of having the story spoken aloud that makes some beats shine bright...and others fall a little flat. As in, they just seem not that believable. Even with spoken emphasis that aims to convince a listener to buy in to the plot twist

I've been listening to a lot of audiobooks lately & they're making me think hard abt the Major Dramatic Question (MDQ) of a story.

Guys, I've been watching Meghan's show... and now I'm feeling like I need to start making more crudité platters? Of veggies? And fruit? Like, on a daily basis? 😀

She looks like a sad Bridgerton sister on the cover. I have a copy tho and plan to dig in. :)
