something ive noticed is that many on the left have absolutely zero theory of mind for people on the right, yet they think they do.

at its core, political theory is how value gets decided (epistemology/metaphysics) and by whom (legitimacy).

for the left, value is contingent (because history or society could have shaped it differently). for the right, value is inherited (because it precedes the chooser).
