Funding slashed for research on employment barriers for people with autism A team of Cornell researchers has been studying barriers to employment for neurodivergent people. But their federal funding was cut.

Susanne Bruyère has led a team of researchers at @cornellyti.bsky.social who study barriers to employment for neurodivergent people. But in May, funding for their project was cut. "I think that's a step backwards for a very capable group of potential workers in the American workforce," said Bruyère.

The strike will throttle hard-won progress to cut waiting lists, but NHS trust leaders and staff will be working flat out to see that as many patients as possible get the care they need. Most people do not support these strikes. They know they will cause real damage. Behind the headlines are the patients whose lives will be blighted by this decision.
