10.02.2025 17:50 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0This is not a question of people being "snowflakes" or "too sensitive". People's safety and wellbeing are being threatened by hatred and willful ignorance. It it terrifying, shameful, and deeply troubling. (2/3)
10.02.2025 17:50 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I have spent the last few weeks (read: years) talking to many clients, many of whom are part of LGBTQ+ communities, about their increasing fear given the sociopolitical climate. (1/3)
10.02.2025 17:50 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0A disabled person might be โableโ to do one thing on one day.
Maybe they wanted to.
Maybe they had no choice and had to.
What it does not mean, is that theyโre suddenly able to do it all the time, or that itโll be โeasier next timeโ.
โAbleโ is repeatedly, reliably, and safely.
I wish society didnโt tie so much morality into movement.
You are not a better person if you move more.
You are not a worse person if you move less.
We need to be better at recognizing structural barriers to movement, as well as honouring body autonomy.
So often, I hear from neurodivergent people that traditional eating disorder treatment doesnโt meet their needs.
- Neurodivergent traits are often conflated with eating disorder behaviours
- Sensory needs are minimized/ignored
- Neurodivergence is pathologized
This desperately needs to change.
We will welcome you into the musical theatre geek world with open arms ๐

I am absolutely weird. And itโs something I love about myself. I love that I exist outside of societyโs arbitrary and oppressive expectations. โฅ๏ธ
This makes me so mad.

Instead of asking, โwhy do I keep failingโ, ask, โhow is the world/system failing ME?โ.
In a world built for neurotypical people that often doesnโt accept or accommodate ADHDers, letโs direct the blame where it belongs (i.e. NOT on you!). โฅ๏ธ
Fellow healthcare providers:
That part of you that deeply fears you arenโt a capable and helpful practitioner? Thatโs often also the part of you that deeply cares about your work and the people you support.
There is beauty in that.
And you! I loved using the other app before it descended into chaos. Iโm happy thereโs an alternative! :)
