Well, I guess one could argue that it's a different whilst related subject. But I agree completely. There are many, many people who NEED that help.

Oh absolutely. I'd just like the online discussion to show a little more of my side, you know? There are unintended consequences in all things. I just see it as a "making the perfect the enemy of the good" situation. And fearing a possible future against a known present.

For me personally and those like me, there is no table. The best care in the world isn't going to change anything unless there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

But absolutely agree that care needs night and day improvement. I just don't see it as either/or.

Erm.....I think people in my position have been mostly forgotten to be honest. MS for the most part isn't terminal by itself. If it passes this will be a first step. If it DOESN'T go further then I just hope I manage to take care of it myself before I lost so much motor function that I'm unable...

There's unintended consequences to just about everything unfortunately. I not sure that should take away from the intended consequences of no longer forcing quite so many people to suffer in agony and be unable to do anything about it. So try not to think of it as all one way.

I second Rhys. There's two actual disabled here, not advocates. And they're telling you it's not that simple. Will you listen to us, too?

Hear hear. I have aggressive, progressive MS. This isn't theoretical for me. I'm not included in this bill, but it it passes I'll have hope for a morphine overdose when the time comes. Else I'll have to take care of it myself before I lose the motor skills, whether I'm ready for it or not.
