Walnut beach was a lovely place and found a wishing stone.
Legend has it if you find a wishing stone, you trace your finger around the line of quartz while closing your eyes and making a wish, then throw the stone back into the water OR give it to another person, your wish will come true.
Lake Shore Park in Ashtabula. No beach glassing to be found, just a beautiful swan in a pond we spotted on the way out of the park.
It was ornery and tried to peck at me when it realized I hadn’t brought any treats. 😆 🦢
The first time at Conneaut Township Park beach known for its blue and amethyst colored vitrite glass.
The glass originated from the G.E. (General Electric) Company who produced insulators used as a part of the bottom screw cap of incandescent lightbulbs.
Remember to take joy in the simple things. Even when it’s just while washing dishes. 🫧 🫧 🫧

What a moving day of community, peaceful protests, makin’ some good trouble, seeing old friends, making new friends, inspirational speeches, and knowing we are not alone. It gave me hope for our country and democracy. #handsoff

Tiny Art Show art piece #2.
I can’t think of anything better that an orderly rainbow of sequins that glimmers, shimmers, and shines like a colorful 4”x4” disco square of glittery joy!
There are over 1,000 sequins on that fun-sized canvas, rows of happy little hues and shiny shades.
Our library holds a Tiny Art Show featuring art on 4x4” canvases. My submission was inspired by the recent story of the anglerfish filmed near the Canary Islands.
I used glow-in-the-dark acrylic paint on her. So when the lights are off her little bioluminescent light in her portrait, glows. 🖤
The soft glow of light can reveal the beauty in even the simplest things.💡

These boys have been right by my side this last several days, despite the hacking, sniffling, and restlessness (mine, not theirs…lol), making sure to help make me better with cuddles and kisses.
Gotta said, there’s something to be said for the healin’ power of the pug love. ❤️
