IMO there *is* canon basis for kakairu but also like…. I’m coming out as a rarepair enthusiast I wouldn’t give a shit if they were never seen in the same room. I drew Kakashi x Hashirama once this shit ain’t nothing to me man

And it’s not bad to only like ships with a super strong canon basis but some people see shipping as serious media analysis while to me the world (and especially Naruto) are made of pudding. So. Both are fine approaches but it’s best to know which approach someone prefers before engaging with them
