The most recent U.S. ambassador to Viktor Orban’s Hungary: “After years watching Hungary suffocate under the weight of its democratic collapse, I came to understand that the real danger of a strongman isn’t his tactics; it’s how others, especially those with power, justify their acquiescence.”

We will also be collecting supplies to help the 40 early childhood facilities that were impacted by the tornado. In particular they need:

Outdoor toys, Educational toys for 0-5, books, carpet squares, shelving, learning manipulatives (like cube sets, puzzles, tiles).

The City Youth Council is open to St. Louis residents ages 12–18. Members meet monthly to learn how local government works, connect with lawmakers, and workshop youth-focused legislation.

Beware of all of our national corporate media who is quickly trying to manufacture consent for war with Iran. Be conscious of where you are getting news from. Many international sites are much better.

We are living through a truly dangerous chapter. War abroad and authoritarianism at home go hand in hand. Religious extremism in the halls of power driving decisions. We must stay informed, stay vocal, and refuse to comply in advance. If we don’t stop it now, the damage will be irreversible. 10/

And let’s not overlook the religious undertone: Christian nationalists have long fantasized about Middle East instability as a sign of the coming Rapture. This isn’t foreign policy—it’s religious extremism with nukes. 9/

Trump continues to undermine Ukraine, side with global authoritarians, and look the other way as a genocide unfolds in Palestine. He chooses to work with the dictators of the world. Every move is part of a broader pattern: manufacture chaos, then use it as a pretext for control. 8/

They want an excuse to send National Guard and military troops into U.S. cities, crack down on dissent, and expand authoritarian control under the guise of “keeping us safe.” This isn’t just about Iran—it’s about tightening their grip on power here. 7/

And we can’t ignore the real political goal here. The Trump administration wants a heightened national security crisis—not just to justify war abroad, but to justify repression at home. 6/

Let’s be clear: Trump deliberately dismantled the Iran nuclear deal, a diplomatic achievement under Obama that was preventing exactly this kind of war. Instead of pursuing peace, Trump chose provocation—he tore up the deal, reimposed sanctions, & inflamed tensions, dragging us toward war. 5/

This is the lie of the military-industrial complex—that weapons manufacturing is a jobs program. We deserve an economy that builds housing, healthcare, and climate resilience—not bombs. 4/

Now, as missiles fly, we’re hearing the same hollow defense from lawmakers: “But the jobs.” As if creating living-wage employment through war production is somehow ethical. 3/

It’s the product of decades of U.S. foreign policy driven by a neoconservative agenda—an agenda embraced by both Republicans and Democrats. For years, our leaders have poured weapons, sanctions, and militarism into the Middle East, setting the stage for this exact escalation. 2/
