Love these!! The teapot especially is lovely. You could try stiffened felt to help with the backings- it'll keep its shape and make it easier to focus on making even blanket stitches!

I have a background in editing and technical writing and wrote manuals and tutorials in the craft industry for two years, and it's something I've been mulling over as I consider my commissions and other potential services I could help with

Do y'all think there's a market for helping other makers write tutorials or patterns? 🤔 I see a lot of fiber artist creators (crochet mostly but others as well) talk about creating a formal tutorial/pattern with written instructions as a major barrier to sharing patterns, and I think I could help!

(also, i don't use "handmade embroidery" to describe my work AT ALL which really goes to show that they don't understand me, my craft, or how to actually, effectively work with local artists! if they'd ASKED ME then yeah, maybe i'd have collaborated with them!)

I had a tree that was decades old and twice as tall as my childhood home. I remember coming home from summer camp in my teens and seeing that they chopped it down. It was diseased and definitely a hazard, but I cried when I saw it gone. Same thing happened when my grandparents chopped one of theirs.

Generally, team hoop for similar reasons- I only use q-snaps for square-shaped patterns or bigger patterns where I need to reposition whatever I'm using to stitch. And they're great for that!

But everything I design is specifically meant to be smaller, so I rarely get to bust my q-snaps out.

I'm having this problem a lot right now!! I haven't designed at all in a couple of years but now I have so many ideas that I can barely keep up with them, let alone make the test stitches!
