I am still here, I’m just not very good at remembering to post something. Also, my cat Jerry died a few days ago. He was closer to 17 than 16 and lived a long and happy life but I’m missing him a lot.

I only use backstitch on my cross stitch designs when I think it’s absolutely necessary but I also design blackwork patterns, which are basically all backstitch!

Here’s a hand embroidered portrait I made of my brother-in-law. There was a lot of ‘trust the process’ involved in this one!

Meet my cats! Jerry (black) is 16 1/2 and has mastered the art of purring and yawning at the same time, which makes him sound like a tiny lion. Dexter (grey) is nearly 12. He’s huge but sweet and cuddly like a teddy bear.
