The Puppet Of Duke Fraldarius “My wise and benevolent king…” Felix breathed into Dimitri’s ear, making him involuntarily shiver. “You said you never doubted my loyalty, that you always trusted and valued me.” His long fingers picked up a lock of blond hair, twirling it in his hand, “Yet you let that foolish old man insult me, accuse me of abusing my power in front of the nobles of the three regions, and then let him leave without consequences.” Dimitri’s blood rushed to his lower abdomen. “T-Then, what must I do… to make amends, my dearest Duke?” “I require compensation.” Felix’s eyes gleamed like a hungry wolf. “I want Your Majesty to serve me with the same devotion I have for you. I want You to kneel before me, as I knelt before You on the day You bestowed me the title of Duke Fraldarius.”
