Was sat chatting with all the Leeds under-21s at Manchester airport yesterday and they were telling me where they were going and who they were playing against. I’m not sure if it was supposed to be secret like the first team or if it’s public knowledge 😂

I’d love a draw. Then a win for Leeds would see us up and we’d be more comfortably ahead of Burnley.

My point is, he had a relatively decent game apart from that one error. Yet there were players who were crap the whole game and were acting like it’s all Meslier’s fault.

He was at least partly responsible. I didn’t say he wasn’t. I said there were worse players on the day that nobody talked about. Keeper makes one error and it leads to a goal yet a midfielder can be crap all game but it’s ok cos it doesn’t lead to a goal.

I think you’re spot on. Leeds weren’t there but Portsmouth were properly on it. Deserves plaudits. But why haven’t they played that way the rest of the season?

I’m trying to make myself feel better by noting that Burnley’s remaining fixtures look noticeably more difficult than Leeds’.

The defeat isn’t the end of the world. But the manner of it is worrying. Leeds second to everything. Didn’t even look to be pushing all that much near the end. No enterprise at all. Not helped by dreadful ref decisions though.

They’re much better at home than away.

Meslier hasn’t been that bad. Plenty of worse players for Leeds today yet he’s the only name being mentioned.
