This is what a bold grab for public money in the name of profit looks like to me. That and an opportunity to disenfranchise whole segments of society from their right to self determination.

It's time to start standing up on a lot off issues. Let's start with recognizing that Ukraine is being not only told to give up a quarter of its country after being invaded and attacked for 3 years. It is now being asked to give away its nation's mineral rights to a country (US) that wants to make a profit off of it. Something is seriously wrong if you think that is a fair deal for the Ukrainians. What do they get in return? Nothing, not military or societal help. Zelensky was right to walk out of the White House without signing the minerals agreement. Especially after the way our leadership treated him. This doesn't even begin to touch on the issues we should be speaking out on within the US.

It's time to start standing up on a lot of issues.

Ukraine is being told to give up a quarter of its country. Invaded for 3 years and now give away its nation's mineral rights. This is seriously wrong. That is not a fair deal for Ukraine.

What do they get in return? Nothing.

As others have said, the greatest transfer of wealth in US history will not be from the Boomers to their children but from them to the US healthcare system. The US is designed to make people insolvent and to keep them poor once they're there.

It's just the exuberance / naivety of youth versus the caution / clarity of age. Humans are and always will be fallible. I believe achieving societal utopia is a generational endeavor and one we should not give up on. But one in which we must be happy with whatever contribution we can make.

This energy.

Those are just digital ways of changing the channel, watching the shows you choose, and throwing away the junk mail you receive. When you turn the filters and blocks into a daily habit, your feeds will conform closer to what you want to see.

Second is technology management. That is something you do have control over. Post as you choose, use the filters and blocks offered on the different social platforms to filter the feeds you get and block the people who are asses.

Also there is little you can do about most of it. But you are not completely powerless. Continue to think globally but act locally. Take pride in the small things you're doing day to day. I know you, and you have a good heart and do right by your community.

Becky, I hear you. My personal opinion is that there are several factors that are creating your experience and feelings on social platform interactions. One is general fatigue over what is happening in the country right now, and that fatigue is valid.

Science denial by Trump in order to further an agenda is wrong. Removing data sets on diseases will kill humans and do nothing to stop the diseases. Complete and utter BS!

It seems that Musk and the technology billionaires want to smash the government to enable their futuristic visions, and Christian Nationalists like Russell Vought want to smash it to replace it with religious rule. Trump wants to smash it for money and power.

Tump is pushing the boundaries of what the executive branch is allowed. My concern is the erosion of the checks and balances set-up within our constitution.

The president does not get to pick and choose which laws he enforces and congress decides how our money is spent, not the president.

1.75 years until the midterm elections, 3.75 years until the next presidential vote.
This is a marathon, not a sprint.

Breath, make your plans, and act on the things you can locally. Now is the time to look for new charismatic leadership and choose the kind of society you want to live in.

We all have responsibilities to help the world grow.
